At the outbreak of covid, Carlo began to pivot away from a successful 26-year run in the music and events business to focus solely on his rediscovered love for calligraphy, streaming shows LIVE each week on the Amazon-powered platform, Twitch, later expanding in to digital art and illustration.
His wife quickly backed his pursuit, allowing Carlo to create freely without the need to monetize. Keeping their
lives simple, they volunteer often and get away to explore their love of culture, cuisine, and architecture, frequently arranging in-person mini-cons with those from Carlo's online community.
Long before all of this, however, a young pup named Doo wiggled his way into both of their lives. This rather entitled, over-affectionate, jealous prince of a chihuahua specializes in alerting their neighbors, stealing hearts, and competing with Carlo for his mama's attention...

Channeling the late, great Bob Ross, Carlo's stream features a relaxed, yet engaging vibe as he creates names and monograms by request for a worldwide community of nearly 5,000. Supported entirely by the generous contributions of viewers, his weekly show has become a genuine resource of real joy and inspiration, encouraging everyone to be brave enough to #TryNewThings! There is never any pressure to donate. but If you do, please do so responsibly.
What's in a name?
Carlo originally intended to only make art during LIVE collaborations with music streamers. The idea was to give listeners an engaging visual focus that also lent movement to the performance so content stayed fresh - a concept embodied in the design of his original logo: line art of a classic Elvis-style microphone inside a fountain pen!
Since launching his own channel, he continues to collab! For up to 3 hours, Carlo cohosts as a "Silent Bob" (Ross) =) He interacts with and hypes up chat, takes name-art requests, letters lyrics, makes album art, and offers one-of-a-kind giveaways! These get made by hand on the spot, raffled off, and mailed to the winner anywhere in the world at no cost!
THE MAGIC OF COLLABORATION
Carlo thrives on working with other creatives. Setup is fast and easy - taking only a brief call to discuss specifics. His camera takes up no more than 1/6th of the screen and he shares his work freely with your community after the show! Not all requests can be honored. And while you're free to offer a donation, whether personally or passed along from your community, Carlo does not expect compensation for a collab. First time collabs book at least a month out, after which regular shows or impromptu "drop ins" are preferred and have priority. Reach out here to setup a discord call.
Digital Paintings
All pieces were created before a live audience using the ProCreate app and one or more references. Most completed in 15 to 45 minutes.
DOES CARLO TAKE COMMISSIONS?
To maintain reasonable expectations for himself and others, Carlo no longer takes on individual projects for hire. He does however do samples of conceptual art and calligraphy live on stream!
Hand-Lettered Calligraphy
Carlo has been practicing for nearly 40 years, ever since picking up a Sheaffer pen kit when he was just 9 years old.
Custom Monograms
Carlo take free requests for conceptual letter art during his weekly livestreams. He works from the initials provided by his viewers and transforms them into icons fit for a brand!
